Junior Achievement

Today we were all given certificates to say we have completed the "Our Families" project in Junior Achievement. Every Tuesday for the past few weeks a volunteer from GMIT called June has been coming into us to talk all about our families' Needs and Wants. We now know the difference between a 'Need' and 'Want' . We learned lots about our families jobs and how important they all are. We also learned how we pay for our families' needs and wants. June told us that it is good to save our money so we can buy nice things later! This sounds like a good idea!! During our lessons we did lots of nice activities and looked for street signs in our large Junior Achievement poster! We had so much - we will miss June lots!

Our Visit from Mr. Bubbles!!!

A few weeks ago Mr. Bubbles came to our school! He set up a table in the hall and showed us lots of things that bubbles can do. We sat quietly and used our listening ears and watching eyes. We learned that bubbles have ALL the colours of the rainbow. Did you know that bubbles look like spheres in shape? Mr. Bubbles also managed to bounce one bubble onto another!!! This was like magic!! He then filled one up with smoke and this looked like a cloud! By waving his hands gently beside a bubble he stopped it from crashing to the ground and going POP!! We enjoyed looking at all his bubble tricks!!
